SAGE

Overview

Apache is the operator of the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (“SAGE”) System, for an on behalf of Apache and the other SAGE Owners. The SAGE System comprises the 323 kilometre, 30-inch nominal bore SAGE Pipeline and the SAGE Gas Processing Terminal, which is located 65 kilometres north of Aberdeen at St. Fergus.
 
Gas is transported through the SAGE pipeline and processed in the SAGE Terminal from:
 
               The Beryl field and its satellites;
               The Brae field and its satellites;
               The Alvheim field;
               The Maclure field;
               The Scott field;
               The Ettrick field;
               The Golden Eagle field;
               The Devenick field; and
               The Rochelle field.
 
Projects are also currently underway which will connect the Edvard Grieg and Ivar Aasen fields into the SAGE pipeline.
 
The SAGE Terminal also receives and processes gas from the Britannia field and its satellites, which is connected directly to the SAGE Terminal through the Britannia pipeline.
